kamagambo adventist college

Founded in 1912 at KoderoBara as a mission school in 1912 by Pr A. A. Carscallen, an Adventist Pioneer Missionary.

1913 - The institution was transferred to its present site.

1921 - E.R. Warland, the first principal began teaching in the school.

1922 - The girls boarding school was established under the leadership of Grace Clarke, an English adventist missionary.

1928 - Kamagambo Teachers Training College was fully established and approved by the government.

1933 - The boys’ boarding school was established with C.J. Hide as preceptor.

1940 - The two-year ministerial school was started with Pr D.M. Swaine as the first director.

1957 - The elementary classes of boys school were moved to another site.

1957 - Kamagambo Secondary School was established.

1971 - The standard of teacher training was raised to P3 which was offered after eight years of schooling (post-primaary training).

1976 - The two-year advanced level certificate of education was added to the Secondary School.

1982 - The two-year ministerial training programme was re-established under Pr. G. Fordham as the director.

Kamagambo has a total of 850 students from primary to TTC. Kamagambo Adventist College has a church with a chaplain, Pr Benson Ong'oa with the students and staff of the institutions as church members
